Quality in every detail

Vezzani straps are crafted through the most rigorous manufacturing process. Handcrafted using certified, world-renowned materials for their quality, durability, and beauty.

Quick release pin

By default, all our leather straps come equipped with quick-release pins, eliminating the need for additional tools to switch straps - provided your watch has a standard spring bar system. However, if you own a vintage watch, please inform us so we can include a standard pin in your order.

Zermatt

Every detail matters in a well-crafted piece. That's why all Oriri watch straps feature an interior crafted exclusively with Zermatt French Calf leather. Developed by Hermès specifically for watch straps, this leather offers an unparalleled touch and unrivaled comfort. Its superior resistance to daily wear and tear includes a fold-resistant grain, hypoallergenic properties, and sweat resistance.

VEOX

All Oriri leather strap edges are painted and sealed with VEOX products, all of which are domestically produced in Brazil. Edges are the most vulnerable parts, especially when exposed to the elements. Since foreign-made paints often don't withstand Brazil's climate, we've chosen to use materials tested in our beautiful country.

Leathers

Oriri straps are exclusively crafted using the finest leathers sourced directly from Brazilian tanneries. Each hide is carefully selected by our artisan to ensure the highest quality. Our close relationship with these tanneries guarantees a unique product and a direct connection between supplier, artisan, and customer.

  • Authority

A watch on the wrist doesn't act alone; it's part of a watch-strap duo. Undoubtedly, it's the star of the pair, but even the brightest star can have its shine diminished by the celestial bodies around it. A leather strap will always be noticed: a good one reveals knowledge and authority; a poor one makes the opposite clear.

  • Personalization

A watch deserves a strap that matches its stature. Like an outfit or a frame, a simple swap of leather straps can completely transform the message conveyed by your watch, allowing the same piece to be worn in entirely different settings without losing its coherence.

  • Versatility

The versatility of a good leather watch strap is unmatched when compared to other materials, allowing you to express your personality and stand out from the crowd.

Why we make leather watch straps

Sharing the same passion is the foundation of any human connection. We make leather watch straps because we understand that few objects generate as much passion as watches. It's visible in the sparkle of people's eyes.

It only took us one glimpse of that sparkle to realize that watch enthusiasts would understand and share our passion for working with leather to achieve the best possible results. So, we make watch straps because we understand your passion, and you understand ours.

How we make watch straps

Among the dozens of secrets applied in the construction of a Vezzani Oriri leather strap, the most important is "time". We use a selection of leathers with unparalleled quality, and all are constructed with a French Calf interior, a leather developed for this activity - of unparalleled comfort and durability. However, it is time that elevates the raw material.

After selecting the leather, we cut the parts separately to make the markings, remove the excess where necessary, and apply the reinforcement, only then folding the leather over itself. Once the final shape of the leather strap is removed, they are hand-stitched, point by point. Then the edge is painted, cured and polished to ensure durability.

Frequently Asked Questions About Leather Watch Strap

What types of watch straps are there?

The primary methods of securing a watch to the wrist are straps and bracelets. Straps come in a variety of materials, including leather. The design and buckle determine the type, for example: single-piece straps are NATO; traditional straps use a standard buckle; Racer straps feature decorative holes; and Deployant straps are designed for a specific deployant buckle. Bracelets are made of metal.

When to wear a watch with a leather strap?

Leather watch straps offer increased comfort and style. Easily swappable, they allow you to adapt your watch to various occasions and environments. Changing the leather strap can significantly alter the overall look of your watch.

What is the name of the watch strap?

It is common for all methods of attaching a watch to the wrist to be referred to as "strap". However, there are important differences: bracelets are made of metal. Straps can be diverse and are categorized by: material (leather, rubber, fabric); buckle type (standard, deployant, pin, etc.); and design (classic, NATO, racer, etc.)

Can I wear a leather watch strap every day?

Yes, no problem. All Vezzani Oriri watch straps are lined with Baranil leather, which offers superior resistance to sweat. Regular wear is actually beneficial for leather straps, as the natural oils from your skin will help condition the leather and prevent it from drying out and cracking.

Can leather watch straps get wet?

No problem, but it is not recommended. While Vezzani Oriri watch straps exhibit excellent water resistance due to high-quality leather and complete edge sealing, preventing water from entering, it is still advisable to avoid submerging them in water. Hand washing and walking in the rain are safe.

How long does a leather watch strap last?

Some Vezzani customers report their straps have lasted up to five years without any cracks. While leather is a natural material, its durability largely depends on the quality of the craftsmanship. To ensure longevity, Vezzani Oriri straps are made with premium leather, locally produced edge paints designed for our climate, and a robust construction with internal reinforcements for added strength.

Which watch strap material doesn't darken?

Chrome-tanned leathers or leathers with more surface finishing, such as Cardena and Asturian, are less prone to darkening. This darkening process, known as patina, is more intense in vegetable-tanned leathers with an unfinished surface. To avoid this, choose a more stabilized material.

How to tell if a watch strap is genuine leather?

Genuine leather watch straps have a unique texture and feel. Look for natural imperfections, variations in color, and a slight give when flexed. The smell of genuine leather is often described as earthy and slightly sweet. Be cautious of straps that are too perfect or have a strong chemical odor, as these may be made from synthetic materials.

On which arm should I wear a bracelet and watch?

Wear on your non-dominant wrist. Keep your watch on the wrist you don't use for writing or moving the mouse. These activities involve a lot of movement and can cause the watch and strap to rub against hard surfaces. Wearing the watch on your dominant hand can be uncomfortable and may damage the leather strap, watch, or the surface.
